Cancer

Globally, cases of deaths associated with cancer have been on the rise recently. While it is true that cancer indeed poses health risks to both genders, women are at higher risk. And this article elaborates on the causes and reasons for such. Two types of cancer that devastate women’s health are breast and cervical cancers.

Breast Cancers

Breast cancer has killed millions of women across the world. In fact, it is the primary cause of cancer-related deaths of feminine gender. Surprisingly, developed countries record high breast cancer-related deaths compared to the developing countries. It is also worth noting the rigorous breast cancer awareness going on across the country. Late detection of breast cancer is what has seen many records of death. For this reason, women are always encouraged to consider mammography screening.

Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer is yet another common cancerous disease that affects women between the ages of 15-44. For this reason, experts encourage the importance of early screening among teenagers and women in general. Lack of effective screening methods for early detection has seen more deaths due to cervical cancer. Frequent screening is one of the measures employed to enhance timely detection and initial treatment plans.

Maternal Health

Records of childbearing related deaths have been a concern over time memorial. Unlike in the developed economies, cases of maternal mortality in developing countries are on the rise. Managing such cases has never been difficult, especially with well-organized and functional healthcare systems. In fact, it has been proven over and over again that these cases can be easily avoided and reduced completely.

Mental Health

Causes of mental disorders in women include depression, a particular class of mental illness, organic brain syndromes, senile dementia, and a depressive disorder often seen in older women. Additionally, women who have been victims of violence, rebellion wars, calamities, and insurgency are at risk of increased mental health problems. In general, a woman’s mental health status is often characterized by sadness, worries, mental stress, domestic hostilities, sexual abuse, and many more issues.

The Bottom Line

Generally, women undergo many health issues that this article does not address. When it comes to managing them, the need to create awareness is a significant concern that should be considered. With increased health literacy, women will be better placed to fight and thrive above all these challenges. For example, a woman who makes fair use of mammography conference will be equipped with the best ways to tackle cancer.

Moreover, pursuing alternative treatment for depression Seattle WA is an assurance of handling mental health concerns.
